OUTshine Movie: Mineshaft
Movie will be October 17th @4:45 PM
We are excited to announce that we have partnered with SAGE and OUTshine to co-sponsor the screening of the compelling new documentary Mineshaft: The Cruising Murders (2026).
Directed by Emmy Award-winning documentarian Jeffrey Schwarz (Vito), this riveting film delves into the fierce LGBTQ+ protests, cultural shockwaves, and real-life Greenwich Village true-crime murder behind William Friedkin’s infamous 1980 thriller Cruising, set against the backdrop of NYC’s legendary 1970s leather scene.
We will host a dedicated table staffed by PG volunteers to answer questions, chat with attendees, and hand out copies of our newsletter, flyers, and postcards alongside our club banner. It promises to be a memorable evening, an important piece of queer film history, and a fantastic opportunity to showcase our club in the community!
